ROUTE 100 ROAD TRIP

The Route 100 Road Trip 

We have 2 Versions of this Road Trip based on How Much Time you have. The first is a 4 hour round trip adventure which will likely take up to 7 Hours with stops. You'll Start in Ludlow where you can drive to the top of Okemo and climb a fire tower for panoramic views of the Black River Valley. From there you will Travel through Plymouth, Bridgewater, Killington, Pittsfield, Stockbridge, Rochster, Hancock, Granville, Warren, Waitsfield, Moretown,  Duxbury and end in Waterbury with a visit to Ben & Jerry's. Of course its easy to make your own adventure as there are endless stops along the way. Below is a list of recommend stops in each town along the way. 

STOP 1: LUDLOW- Okemo Fire Tower which includes scenic drive up Mountain Road, Downtown Ludlow has many shops and restaurants as well.
STOP 2: Plymouth- As you approach Plymouth you'll see the Echo Lake Inn, there's a pull off area where you can stop at Echo Lake for pictures, if you have the time you can also visit Plymouth State Park or the Coolidge Historic Site located 5 minutes off Route 100A. Additionally the Woodward Reservoir near the Bridgewater line has a great pull off area and is a picture worthy stop
Drive Thru Bridgewater- You'll brifely hit the edge of Bridgewater before turning left to on Route 100/Rt 4, if you have more time and want to experience Bridgewater turn right on Route 4. Long Trail Brewery is located in Bridgewater
STOP 4: Killington- Next you'll head through Killington towards Kent Pond, which you can pull right off Route 100 at the Kent Pond Boat Launch, if you have extra time Thundering Falls is located off Route 100 and you can detour back onto Route 100 after visiting.
STOP 5: Pittsfield- In downtown Pittsfield the Pittsfield Original General Store is a recommend stop on your Route 100 Journey. Whether you need a snack, coffee/latte or a full meal they offer a little bit of everything. 
Drive Thru Stockbridge- As you continue on Route 100 you'll pass through Stockbridge as Route 100 curves around the White River
Drive Thru Rochester- Next you'll hit the town of Rochester as you continue driving Route 100
STOP 6: Granville- Upon reaching Granville you'll want to stop at one of Vermont's most iconic Waterfalls, Moss Glen Falls. This is a parking area located right to the side of Route 100
